POWER ON CONTROLLER HARDWARE

Turn ON the red rocker switch on the right side of the controller. Status LED illuminates steady.

FAILSAFE PROTECTION ACTIVE
⚠️ Dry-Run Cutoff: Underground tank empty! Motor locked automatically.
⏱ Auto-OFF Timer Protection:

Prevents continuous pumping in case of pipe bursts or overflow leaks. Shuts down after preset time.

Configured Limit: 5 Minutes (Auto-Cutoff)
💧 Sump Dry-Run Lockout:

Underground sensor (Port 5-6) triggers immediate cutoff if water drops below probe level, saving your pump motor from burnout.

STEP 1 • POWER ON HARDWARE

Turn ON Controller Power

Switch ON the main 220V power and flick the red rocker switch on the WS-P Smart unit. The front Status LED will illuminate steady cyan/green to indicate standby state.

Status LED: Steady ON (Standby) Startup Mode: AUTO
STEP 2 • CONNECT WI-FI LOCAL AP

Connect to "SmartPump-Setup"

Open Wi-Fi on your phone, laptop, or tablet. Select the network SmartPump-Setup and enter the security password.

Network SSID: SmartPump-Setup Password: XX No Internet Required
STEP 3 • OPEN DASHBOARD LOCAL WEB

Open Browser & Access Dashboard

Open any standard browser and type http://192.168.4.1/ or http://techtay.local/. The built-in web server immediately loads your live dashboard.

STEP 4 • AUTO & MANUAL CONTROL OPERATION

Operating in AUTO vs MANUAL

• AUTO Mode: The controller automatically starts the pump when overhead water falls below the Low sensor (D5), and stops when the High sensor (D6) is touched. Sump sensor (D7) protects against dry run.
• MANUAL Mode: Lets you press "Pump ON" or "Pump OFF" directly on your screen.

Hysteresis: Automatic 20% to 100% Manual Override Supported
STEP 5 • AUTO-OFF TIMER & SAFETY FAILSAFE

Timer Shutdown & Dry Run Lockout

Configure the Auto-OFF timer from 1 to 10 minutes. If the pump runs continuously past the set duration, the controller forcefully cuts off the pump to protect against pipe burst or motor burnout.

Timer Window: 1 to 10 Minutes Dry-Run Lockout: Immediate

Hardware Status & Troubleshooting

Observation System State Action
LED Solid ON Standby / Idle Normal. Controller is powered; pump is stopped.
LED Blinking (500ms) Pumping Active Normal. Relay is energized and water is being pumped.
Flashing Red Notice on Web UI Sump Empty Lockout Underground reservoir water level is below sensor probe. Pump is blocked. Refill sump.
Pump Stopped after X Minutes Timer Lockout Triggered Auto-OFF timer elapsed. Change or disable timer in dropdown and press Save Settings.
